THE PANNONIAN ART PATH MOVED TO PODUNAVLJE

ART WORKSHOP HELD IN BAČ AND APATIN
12 – 17. May 2014.

After Baranja, students and professors of the two academies have continued to work in Bac and Apatin.
On location directly behind the Fortress of Bač, at the crossroads of major roads, students have created a land art installation of old cobblestones from Bođani conceded to the project by the Municipality of Bač and the Regional Institute for Protection of Cultural Monuments . The land art installation is made in the shape of a number eight, i.e. symbol of eternity, and represents the embryo of a possible future natural park, sculpture park or similar at that location.

Simultaneously, while one group of students was working in Bac, another group with our Croatian partner, Nikola Faller, at the square in the heart of Apatin, which was foreseen for building a kindergarten,, did a land art installation of natural materials (straw, wicker, wood rests) in the shape of an old fertility symbol originated from Baranja .
During the workshop, preparations for the final event have been carried out, which will consist of an exhibition of students' works in the abandoned factory for processing of fresh water fish "Ribocentar" in Apatin.
Art workshop in Bac and Apatin was guided by the professors of the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, Dragan Živančević i Dragan Matić.
